Today we are going to use the Truth of God to prove that the Holy Spirit is not a person, and also to prove that taking the Eucharist, the Lord's Supper, or Communion anytime anyone wants to is not in the Bible!
We know from Mark 7 that any tradition of man is null and void before God. We also know that no man can tell God what to do and He must accept it, because that places man at the head of God.
We also know this here in Prov. 30 that are true, which we are going to use today, and we are going to review the things we covered last week and learn some more things this week. I want you to look at the Greek again when I show it to you, and it will help you understand why God has used Greek for the New Testament.
There is no such thing as a Hebrew New Testament first, or an Aramaic New Testament first, or a Latin New Testament first. It's all in Greek, and God chose it because:
- it is specific
- it is direct
- it makes things absolutely clear when you understand it
Proverbs 30:5: "Every Word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him."
- not in the traditions of men
- not in the teachings of men
Verse 6 is true, and we are going to see this is what all of establishment Christianity has done, and that the Seventh-Day Adventist now being assaulted by the 'Trinity doctrine' as never before, have fallen into this same category right here in Proverbs
Verse 6: "Do not add to His words, lest He correct you and you be found a liar."
That's what we're going to do today. We're going to look at the things concerning the Holy Spirit of God. First of all, I want you to understand that when we come to John 14, I want to explain this to you. Jesus spoke these words on the night that He was arrested. The Passover is:
- not communion
- not Eucharist
- not the Lord's Supper
We will see that!
The Passover is the central focus of the whole Bible of the Plan of God! So, we need to understand that as well, that we cannot do anything to add to what God has given to us. We cannot take away anything of which God requires us to do!
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God! And that includes the words that are written down, which He has inspired, because no man at any time gave their own opinion and wrote it down.
All of the liars in Catholicism and establishment Christianity that say that the New Testament wasn't written until at least 200 years after Christ died are wrong!
They wrote it down right away. Paul's epistles were concurrent with his ministry, and there was nothing in tradition. When you come to the book of Revelation, what do we find? Christ tells John four times, 'write, write,' because tradition is always modified. When men modify the Word of God to change the meaning of it, we can know.
So, today we are going to once again 'prove all things, hold fast to that which is good.'
So I'm going to come up and I'm going to go ahead and use my pointer and I'm going to show you some things concerning the Greek again so you understand it.
{transcriber's note, per Fred: because of the very detailed explanations and graphic shown on the video, this study section is understood better if you watch on the video and using the Greek Interlinear by George Ricker Berry. Also, you may get a DVD of this message by:

{transcript continues after the Greek lesson @19:12}:
These are the most educated in the world, in the language, but they are liars. Do they know the Truth? Yes! So, I wanted to show that to you, and we'll look at some other things in a little bit.
Now let's continue on and look at some other things concerning the Holy Spirit. Let's see how it expressed in a properly translated Faithful Version! That's what's important, because:
- IF we don't handle the Truth correctly
- IF we don't believe what God is telling us
- IF we don't understand the language that the New Testament was preserved in
at least enough so we can understand what is going on
Luke 4:14: "Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee…" it is a power, not a person!
Luke 5:17: "Now, it came to pass that on one of the days when He was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there who had come out of every village from Galilee and from Judea, including the villages around Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was there for healing the sick."
Not a person, never is it referred to as 'he' or 'him' in the Greek!
Verse 21: "Then the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, 'Who is this Who speaks blasphemies? Who has the power to forgive sins, except God alone?'" Again, a power!
This is how you prove all things! You look at all of the Scriptures. You don't take anything for granted, and you don't come up with ideas of your own that contradict the Bible or the Word of God and think that God has inspired you in something. It may not be God who is inspiring you!
Luke 10:17: "Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, 'Lord, even the demons are subject to us through Your name.' And He said to them, 'I was watching when Satan fell from heaven like lightning. Behold, I give you authority…'" (vs 17-19).
That's the correct word; the KJV and some others conflate that with power:
- authority is 'exousia'
- power is 'dunamis'
What do we have today that is very powerful? Dynamite!
"…authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and upon all the power—'dunamis'—of the enemy" (v 19).
So that's important. You will find that in many translations they leave off a lot of these things.
Let's come here to the book of Acts. Let's see what we're told. This carries right on through. This is really something. The Bible does not contradict itself! Remember this: Anything that appears to be a contradiction is a difficult Scripture and you need to search it out to understand it!
Now, we have an Appendix Z. If you have the Faithful Version, go back and study Appendix Z, which answers every single difficult Scripture of Paul that they twist and that they turn, so they can keep their own theological interpretation and lies!
Acts 1—this is right when Jesus was ready to ascend to heaven after being with them for 40 days and 40 nights and teaching them things concerning the Kingdom of God.
How much He taught them? It probably was very amazing because then they had the Holy Spirit within them after He was raised from the dead and ascended to the Father and came back!
Acts 1:4: "And while they were assembled with Him, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem but to 'await the promise… [the power] …of the Father…"—'dunamis'—the Holy Spirit is the power of God! Not a person!
Acts 2:1: "And when the Day of Pentecost, the fiftieth day, was being fulfilled…"
Now, let's strike down another false assumption of all of the Sunday-keepers. They say, 'Well, this was on a Sunday, so we can now worship on a Sunday.' No! This was the first day of the week, which had been observed for centuries before this day.
It does not authorize weekly Sunday service—period! Anyone who gets involved in that is believing in a lie.
Verse 1: "And when the Day of Pentecost, the fiftieth day, was being fulfilled, they were all with one accord in the same place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like the rushing of a powerful wind, and filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them divided tongues as of fire, and sat upon each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit… [the Spirit is the power of God] …and they began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the words to proclaim" (vs 1-4).
Now, isn't that interesting? That's why we need to always go to the Scriptures to prove what is right and what is wrong.
Acts 17:18: "Then some philosophers of the Epicureans and the Stoics encountered him [Paul]. And some of them said, 'What will this babbler have to say?' And some said, 'He seems to be a preacher of foreign gods,' because he was preaching to them the Gospel of Jesus and the resurrection."
Then Paul went on to tell them that they are all there because of God.
Now there are other places, as well. But remember that whenever it speaks of the Holy Spirit or spirit, it is always neuter! It is not masculine. It is not feminine, and there's no transgender in the Bible, except in the minds of those who lie.
2-Timothy 1:4: "As I recall your tears, I am longing to see you, so that I may be filled with joy; when I remember the unfeigned faith that is in you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice, and I am convinced that it dwells in you also. For this reason, I admonish you…" (vs 4-6).
This also proves again that the Holy Spirit is the power of God. It is NOT a person!
"…to stir up the gift of God that is in you by the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit… [penuma] …of fear, but of power, and of love, and of sound-mindedness" (vs 6-7).
Those are all attributes that come with having the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth within you!
Now let's look at something that is very interesting, which will tie in with what we will have in the second half here.
Matt. 4—let's see what happened. This becomes very instructive because we're going to answer the question: If you believe that the Holy Spirit is a person, a third person in the Godhead, who are you worshiping?
What do we find in John 1:1? "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." No Holy Spirit third person!
As I said last week, and it is very true: Paul NEVER—in his introduction of any one of his 14 epistles—acknowledges the Holy Spirit as God! It's always God the Father and Jesus Christ our Lord—every one! When Paul talks about the Spirit it is neuter—'pneuma.'
Remember the temptation that Jesus went through; tempted by Satan. Let's look at the one which is interesting, indeed!
Matthew 4:8: "After that, the devil took Him to an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, and said to Him, 'All these things will I give You, if You will fall down and worship me'" (vs 8-9).
2-Corinthians 4:4: "In whom the god of this age…"—'theos.'
Same word for God the Father or Christ Who is God. Of course, Jesus didn't do it, but Satan wants to be worshiped. So, whenever they have the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit in their worship:
- Are they not worshiping Satan the devil?
- Are they not elevating Satan to the level of the Godhead?
- Yes indeed!
How pervasive is that, especially today in the end-times? I want you to do this if you watch any of the religious programs.
- How many of them really keep the Sabbath? None!
- How many of them really preach what they need to preach with true Commandment-keeping?
Because repentance without Commandment-keeping is like putting water in a sieve; it won't hold.
- IF they're not told that sin is the transgression of the Law
- IF they don't read what Jesus has to say
They cut people off from God!
- Do lies cut us off from God?
- Do false beliefs cut us off from God?
- Do traditions of men cut us off from God?
Who's behind the inspiration of all of that?
Jesus told the religious leaders who gathered in John 8 against Jesus, that Jesus was speaking the Truth when He said: 'IF you will believe the Truth the Truth shall set you free.'
Now here's another lesson of Satan the devil. Where does he like to come. He likes to come to the very top. Did he not take Jesus out to try and tempt Him to worship him. I mean you can't get any higher than that right. No!
Revelation 12:9: "And the great dragon was cast out, the ancient serpent..."
Now notice all of his names that are listed here. The dragon:
- What is the greatest dragon-worshiping nation in the world today? China!
- What are they? They are atheists and they believe in demons and things like this.
It's amazing!
"…the ancient serpent who is called the Devil and Satan, who is deceiving…" (v 9)—present tense participle actively deceiving!
How does he come? Just like he did with Eve and Adam.
- oh this is good
- oh this is nice
- oh this is what it is
- just try it, you'll like it
It's just like our food chain today. A little here a little there, a little here, a little there and behold:
- we're fat
- we're diabetic
- we are sick
- we are weak
But Satan comes along and says this is good, taste it. Try it, you'll like it. Same way spiritually. "…who is deceiving the whole world…" (v 9).
Revelation 13:4: "And they worshiped the dragon..."
This is what's coming on the whole world. This is why the amalgamation of all religions coming under the tutelage of the pope eventually will be somewhere in the near future.
"…who gave his authority to the beast. And they worshiped the beast, saying, 'Who is like the beast? Who has the power to make war against him?'" (v 4).
Now then that's what they do, they worship Satan the devil.
- IF you believe in a Trinity
- IF you believe there are three and in the Godhead
You believe the lies of Satan the devil! What else comes along with all of that?
- Sunday-keeping
- holiday-keeping
- Halloween
- Christmas
IF you haven't read the big thick book I've got two of them:
The Golden Bough by Sir George James Frazier; he says clearly all of the things that they have in Christianity have just been renamed pagan practices! Every single one, because people like to be lied to so they can continue in their sins.
Now then let's look at the second piece that is there. And let's see that this also was controlled by Satan.
Verse 11: "And I saw another beast rising out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon"—the false prophet!
What is he going to do? Satan is going to have his colossal last great moment.
- the beast
- the false prophet
- the false messiah
That's what the world is going to face!
So, we have the chance right now to take care of these things the way we need to. We need to grow in grace and knowledge.
Now for all of those who happen to be currently assaulted within the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. I have this book which I sent to Richard Gonzalez, which you can get: The Holy Spirit Power of God covers everything plus more that I have covered here in this first section. We're going to cover something a little differently later here. But this covers it all.
So you need this book and you need the book. Why Were You Born? Because if you don't know why you were born and if you think that that when you die your soul goes to heaven then you have rejected the resurrection. So you need this book. Why Were You Born? From A Speck Of Dust To A Son Of God. One of the most powerful books that you could have, which will explain how you came here.
- Why are you here?
- What is God doing?
- How is he doing it?
- What is the Plan of God?
- What is the future?
- What is it going to be like when Christ returns?
- When is the Kingdom coming?
All right there in this book!
(break@40:26)
We're going to talk about the Passover, as listed in Lev. 23, so let's go there because that is very important and it lists all the Holy Days of God in order on the Calculated Hebrew Calendar. This is important because it is the Passover, it's not:
- it's not the Lord's Supper
- it's not communion
- it's not any time you want
It is one day a year! So, we'll start with that. We understand that these are all from God. Now let's also understand this that God put it in Lev. 23 so that we will know it's the Word of God, and that it will be a test for us.
Do we believe God? That's what we have to do, believe God! Even the Seventh-Day Adventists keep the Sabbath, but they don't keep anything after that.
Leviticus 23:1: "And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 'Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, "Concerning the appointed Feasts of the LORD…"'" (vs 1-2).
- no traditions of men
- no beliefs of the rabbis
- or the pope
- or an evangelist
- or a top bishop
"…which you shall…" (v 2).
- it's not maybe
- it's not if you think it's a good idea
"…which you shall proclaim to be Holy convocations, even these are My appointed Feasts" (v 2). Who owns them? God does!
Mark 2:28[transcriber's correction]: Jesus said, "…the Son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath."
And that's in the genitive case, meaning He owns them! They are His. Just like it says here:
Leviticus 23:3: "Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, a Holy convocation. You shall not do any work. It is a Sabbath to the LORD in all your dwellings. These are the appointed Feasts of the LORD, Holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their appointed seasons" (vs 3-4).
Now we find that God set the appointed seasons on day four of creation!
Verse 5: "In the fourteenth day of the first month, between the two evenings… [that means after sunset before dark] …is the LORD'S Passover."
Let's understand concerning the Passover. Jesus did not keep a communal supper with them. He kept the 14th Passover and they had a supper, because He had to end the Passover of the Covenant with Israel and then institute the New Passover Covenant.
Mark 14:12: "…His disciples said to Him, 'Where do You desire that we go and prepare, so that You may eat the Passover?'" (v 12).
Then Jesus told them where to go. He told them to follow a certain man and get it all set up.
Verse 21: "The Son of man indeed goes, just as it has been written of Him…"
All of the writings of it! You can see that in Isa. 40, Isa. 53, Isa. 50, Psa. 22, and Deut. 18, etc.
Verse 22: "And as they were eating, Jesus took bread; and after blessing it, He broke it and gave it to them, and said, 'Take, eat; this is My body.' And He took the cup; and after giving thanks, He gave it to them; and they all drank of it. And He said to them, 'This is My blood, the blood of the New Covenant, which is poured out for many'" (vs 22-24).
Now then, that's the Passover. We can find a parallel account in Luke, parallel account in Matthew.
Now when we come to John 13, let's go there because these words of Jesus were given on the Passover night. The very words that we covered in the first part [on the video] were all spoken on the Passover night. When you come to John 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17, these five chapters are the most important because they cover the New Covenant!
Now the first part has to do with foot-washing and a lot of people misunderstand foot-washing. Foot-washing is to be done because if you don't have foot-washing, you have no part with Christ!
John 13—here's what Jesus told Simon Peter when he didn't want to have Jesus washing his feet:
John 13:7: "Jesus answered and said to him, 'What I am doing you do not understand now, but you shall know after these things.' Peter said to Him, 'You shall not wash my feet, not ever.' Jesus answered him, 'If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me'" (vs 7-8).
So, foot-washing is very important to have any part with Christ. What does foot-washing picture? It pictures that you're going to walk in the way of God. It also shows that we are to be humble because the lowest servant in the hierarchy of servants in the household was the one who washed the feet of people coming into the house. Remember they:
- wore sandals
- had horses, donkeys and different animals walking on the same roads
- guess how dirty their feet would get
So, the first thing they do is wash their feet!
Verse 9: "Simon Peter said to Him, 'Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.' Jesus said to him, 'The one who has been washed does not need to wash anything other than the feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all'" (vs 9-10). He was talking about Judas!
So, the first thing of the Passover is one day of the year, 14th day of the 1st month, starting after sunset of the 13th. Beginning with the introduction of Scripture so that we're following exactly what Jesus wants us to do. We read the Scriptures. We have the whole Passover Ceremony booklet.
Let's understand that a Covenant is different than a Testimony. A Covenant is made with the sacrifice first. Did Christ die first, before we receive forgiveness of sin and heaven above? Yes! And for all time! The Passover is the central thing in the Plan of God for the whole world, and each individual that He calls and deals with to receive the Holy Spirit, which is the power of God as we have seen.
This is part of the Passover night, John 14-17. We're not going to go through it all, but what I'm going to do is show you here in John 14 how important it is this day and no other day can become this day!
You can't have communion Sunday morning. If you're a Catholic and if you believe that when the priest 'so-called' blesses the bread and the wine, which he drinks, that it actually turns into the flesh and the blood of Jesus Christ.
- After Jesus was resurrected, what was He composed of? Spirit!
- Could He appear as a human being? Yes, He could, but He didn't have blood!
That's why He told the disciples when He appeared to them that a spirit cannot manifest itself as flesh and bone, because as a spirit being you don't have blood.
Now when we're resurrected, we will have glory, but we will also be able to appear to human beings, that when we're ruling with Christ and dealing with human beings, that we can appear to them in flesh and bone as that what it appears, but it's not. It's just a different manifestation of a spirit body so that we can communicate with them and they can communicate with us.
Now here's what Jesus said on the Passover night:
John 14:1: "Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were otherwise, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; so that where I am, you may be also. And where I am going you know, and the way you know.' Thomas said to Him, 'Lord, we do not know where You are going; how then can we know the way?' Jesus said to him, 'I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me" (vs 1-6).
That's the way it is! It is not the ideas of men. It's not a simple little sing song prayer. It's God the Father and Jesus Christ. The Way, the Truth, and the Life!
John 6:27—Jesus says: "'Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures unto eternal life, which the Son of man shall give to you; for Him has God the Father sealed.' Therefore, they said to Him, 'What shall we do, in order that we ourselves may do the works of God?' Jesus answered and said to them, 'This is the work of God…'" (vs 27-29).
Now think about this for all of those of you who say that it's by faith only!
"…'This is the work of God: that you believe…'" (v 29).
Is that not faith? But that is a spiritual work! That is a mental work!
Verse 38: "For I did not come down from heaven to do My own will, but the will of Him Who sent Me. And this is the will of the Father Who sent Me: that of all whom He has given Me, I should not lose any, but should raise them up in the last day. And this is the will of Him Who sent Me: that everyone who sees the Son, and believes in Him, may have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day" (vs 38-40).
It is the Father who draws them (v 44); that's the calling of God.
What happened to everyone? Everyone that God calls, you go along, and all of a sudden there's a day that something happens to you! You all of a sudden realize how inadequate you are, and you start seeking God. When you start seeking God, the Father starts drawing you. Then Christ is the One Who activates in your life to begin to open your mind! That's what's important, which then leads to conversion, and conversion comes when you are baptized!
Verse 51: "I AM the living Bread... [symbolized by the bread you take on Passover; unleavened bread] …which came down from heaven; if anyone eats of this Bread, he shall live forever; and the bread that I will give is even My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."
How important is that Passover ceremony? Yes! It commemorates the sacrifice of Christ!
Verse 52: "Because of this, the Jews were arguing with one another, saying, 'How is He able to give us His flesh to eat?' Therefore, Jesus said to them, 'Truly, truly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, you do not have life in yourselves'" (vs 52-53).
Now that's a reference to the Passover! It's symbolic. God made it this way.
Verse 54: "The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day." Then He explains what all of this means:
Verse 55: "For My flesh is truly food, and My blood is truly drink. The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood is dwelling in Me, and I in him" (vs 55-56). How is that? By the power of the Holy Spirit!
Verse 57: "As the living Father has sent Me, and I live by the Father; so also the one who eats Me shall live by Me."
That's what it is. We live by every Word of God. That's why we go through and prove all things. Now there may be things we don't understand. Well, that doesn't mean we can't understand them. And if we don't understand them, we can search it out and find it out and go with the Scripture and understand. There are things that we don't know. What's it going to be like to be a spirit being? We have no idea!
Now, all of you Protestants out there, if there are any listening and if you've endured up to this point, then listen carefully, here are some more things for you to learn.
John 14:15—Jesus says: "IF you love Me…"
There are a lot of people who say they love God! Notice it's conditional! The condition is upon us! God loves us and His love is always there. But our love has to come with acknowledging God and our own participation:
- mentally
- physically
- spiritually with it
"IF you love Me…"—don't worry about keeping the Commandments, I've done away with them!
- Doesn't say that, does it?
- How many times have you heard it?
Verse 15: "IF you love Me, keep the commandments—namely, My commandments"—that's the emphatic meaning of the Greek!
- Who was Jesus before He came in the flesh? The LORD God of the Old Testament!
- Do we keep the Commandments of God?
- What has God abolished? He has taken away the rituals and the temple!
Now
- we have the Spirit of God
- we have the Temple of God in heaven above
- we can pray to the Father anytime
- How are we to pray? Our Father Who is in heaven, Holy is Your name!
Now notice what comes next: Your will be done!
- not our will
- not someone else's will
- not the will of a minister
- not the will of a pope
- not the will of an imam
Your will, Father, be done on earth, and that is in our lives and fulfilling the Word of God as it is in heaven! Is there any rebellion in heaven now? No!
Verse 16: "And I will ask the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that it may be with you throughout the age: Even the Spirit of the Truth, which the world cannot receive because it perceives it not, nor knows it, but you know it because it dwells with you, and shall be within you" (vs 16-17). That's a tremendous thing!
Verse 20[transcriber's correction]: "In that day… [that is the day that He was resurrected and came to them] …you shall know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you."
Now notice this carefully here because this was spoken on the Passover night. This is what is important and we're going to answer the question in just a little bit and I will show you that you cannot keep:
- any Lord's Supper
- any Eucharist
- any Communion
You can only keep the Passover on the Passover Day!
Verse 21: "The one who has My commandments and is keeping them, that is the one who loves Me…"
Stop and think about that for a minute. Look at the Ten Commandments. All of those are good and right. All of the words and Commandments of Christ are true.
"…and the one who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him" (v 21).
How does he do that? He does it by a calling like I explained! This is an amazing thing! The Word of God is so amazing really when you understand it.
Verse 22: "Judas (not Iscariot) said to him… [he was mystified] …'Lord, what has happened that You are about to manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?'"
Verse 23 is one of the most important verses in the Bible right here because this is conversion! That's why when baptism is given in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and all of that is verified in the name of Jesus Christ, just put it together.
Verse 23: "Jesus answered and said to him, 'If anyone loves Me…'" How do we show our love?
- by keeping His Commandments
- by obeying Him
- by worshiping Him
"…he will keep My Word… [that's what it's all about] …and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him" (v 23).
Now that is clear; everyone understands this! There is a dividing line, and that dividing line is:
- the Passover
- Commandment-keeping
- keeping the Feast days
- believing God
- obeying God
- loving God
With all your heart, mind, soul and being! Isn't that what we're talking about here? Yes, indeed, that's what it's for.
Verse 24: "The one who does not love Me does not keep My words…"
What does that say about all the theologians that say that the Holy Spirit is a person? They don't love God! They have a religion and it's all wrapped around the traditions of men!
Satan the devil is the one who is 'the god of this world' and that's who they're worshiping!
Verse 24: "The one who does not love Me does not keep My words…"
Think about how important that the Bible is. No other book in the world can come to it. No other book in the world can ever be written like this.
"…and the Word that you hear is not Mine, but the Father's, Who sent Me" (v 24).
These are the words from the Great Sovereign of the universe to us!
That is a magnificent thing to understand. That's why it's so important that we love God, that we keep His Commandments.
Let's see how we are to worship God. And this is very important for every one of us all of the time. Now this is about the woman at the well and that Jesus said He would give her living water, and she wanted the water.
John 4:19: "The woman said to Him, 'Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, but You say that the place where it is obligatory to worship is in Jerusalem'" (vs 19-20).
Now listen carefully, because the most astounding thing in the world can happen to those of us who are converted:
- not that we deserve it
- not that we are righteous
- not that we understand everything
but
- we love God
- we believe God
- we keep His Commandments
Verse 21: Jesus said to her, 'Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you shall neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem worship the Father. You do not know what you worship…'" (vs 21-22).
Anytime you have something different than what God has said to do, you don't know what you worship! Especially all of those who bow down to idols. It doesn't matter what religion it is, whether it's:
- Catholic
- Protestant
- Muslim
- Buddhism
- Hinduism
- Dragonism from China
Verse 22: "You do not know what you worship…. [they don't know they're worshiping Satan like we read] …We know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.
Now, v 23, this is a key important thing that goes right into what we read in John 14.
Verse 23: "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers…"
- Are there false worshipers?
- Are there those who claim to represent Christ but do not?
All you have to do is just go on YouTube and you can find all the false prophets in the world you ever want to see.
"…shall worship the Father…" (v 23).
How does the prayer start out? Matt. 6? 'Our Father.' Now think on that.
"…in Spirit and in Truth…" (v 23)
- conversion
- receiving the Spirit of God
- God the Father and Christ dwelling in you by the power of the Holy Spirit
"…for the Father is indeed seeking those who worship Him in this manner. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must… [that means it is obligatory] …worship in Spirit and in Truth" (vs 23-24). That's what it is. The Word of God is true!
Now, I want to answer the question concerning:
- Communion
- Lord's Supper
- Eucharist
or as the SDAs do
- taking the Lord's Supper the first Sabbath of every quarter
Pray tell, can you show me a Scripture that says that?
- What did we read about the Passover Day?
- What is it that we read? The first month, the 14th day of the first month!
Someone's going to say, 'Well, what about the Scriptures that say, 'as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup,' doesn't that mean anytime we can do it?
I'm going to show you something that you have never been shown before. That it isn't what people or ministers interpret it to do, because they do not tell you one little word which clarifies everything. So now I'm going to show you from 1- Cor 11, using the Interlinear for the Greek interpretation:
{transcriber's note, per Fred: because of the very detailed explanations and graphic shown on the video, this study section is understood better if you watch on the video and using the Greek Interlinear by George Ricker Berry. Also, you may get a DVD of this message by:

{transcript continues after the Greek lesson @ 1:19:20}:
That's what it means here in John 4. Think about how important that all of this is. We're not dealing with a church. The church is the collective body of those who have the Spirit of God. We're not dealing with a hierarchy because you have direct connection with God the Father and heaven above.
Now you look at the history of the church and all the problems that it had back there in Rev. 2 & 3. And you see that the Churches are always assaulted by Satan one way or the other.
Now those of us in the Church of God we lived through the assault and destruction of Worldwide Church of God. Why? Because they left the Truth of God, to believe their own lies! Now the Protestants are the same way. They started out 'solo scriptura'—Scriptures only. Now they don't even use them. Seventh-Day Adventist, you have an idol.
Let's show what repentance needs to be. Now in the Worldwide Church of God and even some of the break off churches still have the idol in their mind of Herbert W. Armstrong. They say that only what he has found is what they're going to follow. Well they never told you that he learned everything that he learned he got from the Church of God Seventh-Day, and that is an idol in their mind!
The SDAs have Ellen G White. A lot of people say, 'Ellen G White said this, Ellen G White said that.'
- What do these things amount to?
- What about the atheists out there that doesn't believe in anything? He believes in himself!
- What do we all do if we're not converted and yield to God?
Ezekiel 14:1: " And some of the elders… [the leaders] …of Israel came to me and sat before me. And the Word of the LORD came to me, saying" (vs 1-2).
- I want you to think about yourself
- I want you to think about what you believe
- I want you to think about what you practice
- I want you to think about what whatever church you go to; whatever religion you are a part of
This cuts you off from God right here:
Verse 3: "Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts… [What is the idol in your mind?] …and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their faces. Should I at all be inquired of by them? Therefore, speak to them, and say to them, "Thus says the Lord GOD, 'Every man of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet… [or comes to God] …I the LORD will answer him according to the multitude of his idols'"'" (vs 3-4).
That's what we have today. How is that going to come about today? The coming one world religion. The coming Mark of the Beast. that was never understood until this day. Never understood about the buying and selling. The Seventh-Day Adventist in the 1800s said well the Mark of the Beast is Sunday-keeping. No it isn't, because you can buy and sell the rest of the week.
Same way with some of the Churches of God today. If you believe that it's that it is Sunday-keeping when the Mark of the Beast comes on and you don't take it you're not going to be able to buy and sell.
- What are you going to do at that time if you're not right with God?
- What are you going to do when these things come down upon the whole world and with a push of a button you don't exist? Everything about you is erased from the AI.
And know for sure, AI is going to bring that to the highest development of all. So it all gets down to this:
- Do we love God?
- Do we keep His Commandments?
- Are we seeking to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth in everything that we do?
- Isn't that what repentance is all about?
- Don't we have to repent every day because of the evil world that we're exposed to? Yes we do!
- we also have to fight against our own human nature. we have to fight against Satan the devil and the demons.
- we have to fight against the world that is out there that is led by Satan the devil and all of the evil that is there
- we need to get rid of these idols in our mind
So, this is how important that the things are that we have covered, vitally important. When men lie about the Scriptures and when people are set up as idols that you follow and it becomes an idol in your mind you are captive already by Satan the devil to whatever degree that that is, Right to God the Father and Jesus Christ with the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us and that's what it needs to be.
